For the first-year units of competency have been packaged into semesters. Students have the opportunity to progress through the course semester by semester in year 1 with those who are committed to working toward completing the full qualification can undertake a full year of study in the 2nd year
Course DescriptionTHE WORLD OF MEDIA. Students develop a range of digital design skills for 2D and 3D media. Students are involved in project development including planning, design, development and evaluation. Students engage in work place simulated learning where industry relevant projects are created and produced.
PathwaysIf you are interested in a career in Website Design, Advertising, Animation or Digital Media then this course could be for you. This course is designed to give students the opportunity to develop skills in computer applications relevant to the production of Multimedia presentations.
Other RequirementsStudents will need to have a strong commitment in meeting deadlines and be highly organised. Ongoing access to a computer and reliable internet is required and significant computer requirements are needed for successful completion of competencies Software required includes Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Autodesk Maya. Access to the internet is essential, licenses and tutorials are provided. Minimum System Requirements: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 - 64 bit processor; Mac OS Version 10.11 (El Captain), Mac OS 10.12 (Sierra) or Mac OS Version 10.13 (High Sierra), running on multicore Intel Processor with 64-bit support
