Course DescriptionAre you a caring and nurturing person who likes to interact with others? This training course uses evidence based practice to support the principles of a client centred approach that will engage learners to deliver care that places the client at the centre of service with inclusive decision making and informed client choices about activities of daily living. Students will acquire skills to gain work in the health and community services industries, and will learn from a contemporary program delivering a person-centred approach to care. Learning will take place at the premises of the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Education Centre Training Rooms, 191 Torrens Road, Ridleyton, 5008. This course is a good introduction to anyone considering a career in the health or care industries. To gain the full certificate students will need to complete 12 months of study
PathwaysThis qualification offers pathways to further Health training, these include a Diploma of Enrolled Nursing and a Bachelor of Nursing. Direct employment opportunities include, Personal Care Worker – Residential aged care, disability care, community care & home care settings. The health services workforce is large and diverse. It includes many occupations, ranging from highly qualified professionals through to support staff and volunteers. A full Certificate III attracts an ATAR for tertiary study.
Other RequirementsPolo Shirt for Placement (included in fees). Students are expected to wear black work pants and black duty shoes.
