Course DescriptionThis course is for students who have a background and interest in music and wish to pursue a career in the music industry as a performer. Aspects of music industry covered include ensemble performance, song writing, working effectively in the music industry, preparing effectively for performances and examining current trends in the music industry
PathwaysOn completion of the course students have the opportunity to explore further study in Certificate IV in Music Industry (Performance) or potentially move into study focused on sound production
Entry RequirementsExperience on a musical instrument is expected. Students must be currently learning an instrument with an instructor.
Other RequirementsStudents are required to attend Open Access College for two face-to-face rehearsal days each term. To successfully meet the assessment requirements of the course, students are required to perform music to an audience on three separate occasions
